La Salle Academy in Iligan City is a Catholic
institution, inspired by the charism of its
founder, St. John Baptist de La Salle, and
one with other member-institutions of De La
Salle Philippines in partaking the common mission
of teaching minds, touching hearts and transforming
lives. It envisions itself to be the center
of excellence in providing Lasallian Education
to the youth in a culturally and religiously
diverse society of Iligan and Northern Mindanao,
as a whole.
La Salle Academy upholds the core values of
Faith, Service and Communion in Mission. It
aims to graduate students who are academically
competent, socially concerned, disciplined
and compassionate men and women.
EXPLANATION OF THE CORE VALUES
FAITH: equipping the students with a balanced
knowledge in all areas of scholarship in the
light of the Gospel and engaging everyone in
the community in a living relationship of communion
with the Triune God- recognizing other faith
traditions as expressions of human search for
self-actualization.

IN MISSION: sharing in the development
of the community in Northern Mindanao, in solidarity
and collaboration with other La Salle institutions,

Definition of Lasallian Terms (Guiding Principles
of Lasallian Education)
LASALLIAN
MISSION: providing a human and Christian
education to the young, especially in schools,
with the service of the poor as priority, in
order to evangelize and catechize, to promote
peace and justice, accomplished together as
shared mission.
LASALLIAN
EDUCATION: enabling persons to acquire
the vision, values, attitudes and practices
that support Lasallian Mission. An education
that is holistic, Christian and globally competitive.
DE LA
SALLE PHILIPPINES: coming together of
all 18 Lasallian District Schools under one
network professing One La Salle and One Sign
of Faith- embarking on a journey of creative
fidelity to the Lasallian Mission.
CHARISM: Lasallian charism is essentially
a gift from God for the education of children
and youth, poor youth particularly.
EXCELLENCE
IN EDUCATION: providing quality,
holistic, Christian and learner-centered education
that prepares the student to be globally competitive.
