September 15 and 22, 2007
La Salle AcademyIligan responded to the ONE LA SALLE project of ONE MILLION TREES AND BEYOND wherein 800 mangroves were planted by the Fourth Year High School along the coastline of Bayug. Fruit bearing and mahogany were also planted
inland with the following breakdown and venue - 700 at Langilanon,600 at Dalipuga,,150 at Gawad Kalinga Tag-ibo and 200 at Del Carmen Elementary School. These two days tree planting were done simultaneously and with the presence of the City Environmental Management office personnels.
The first quarter of the school year is through and at this time, twenty classes were able to go for their exposure may it be
with the partner schools, partner institutions and partner communities.
August 10, 2007
The school, through the House of Benilde responded to the request of the ONE MILLION TREES AND BEYOND to plant 25 tree
seedlings in honor of Cardinal Rosales on his 75th birthday. This was done last August 10, 2007 at Brgy Thomas Cabili in coordination with the City Environment Management Office.

Fourth Year 401 went and stayed with their
foster families at Upper Pindugangan for an interaction. They brought
with them rice, noodles, canned goods which they shared and ate during
lunch. Our students enjoyed their experience with the farmers in the
said area.

A heavy raining afternoon but the Grade 5
St. Catherine still decided to go to Del Carmen Elementary School for
their exposure.
June 22, 2007
Second Year 201 went to Purok 5 Tibanga to
stay and socialize with their foster families there. For some
students, it was their first time to do certain household chores like
cooking rice, opening canned good with a knife, bath a child, and
others.
June 20, 2007
Grade 6 St. Bro. Benilde spent an afternoon
with their counterpart pupils at the Cabili Village Elementary School.
They were welcomed by the School Principal, Mrs. Samson. Our pupils
had a fun filled afternoon.

First Year 103 went on an exposure to the
City Hospital (Don Gregorio Lluch Memorial Hospital) to interact with
19 patients/wards of the Pedia Charity Ward.

March 8-9, 2007
The Fourth Year level students had their reach-out l at Pacuhon wherein 4 - Makabayan and 4 - Mapagkalinga students decided to change the bamboo walling of the chapel in the area to cyclon wires and also made 10 benches.
4 - Masunurin, 4- Matiyaga and 4-Bukas-Palad also change the bamboo walling to cylon wire, made benches and extended the chapel of Upper Pindugangan

March 1- 2, 2007
In line with the Green for Life: One Million Trees and Beyond of the One La Salle Program, the different Grade 6 homerooms went to Langilanon for the tree planting together with the Grade School Principal, Upper Grades Prefect, two Grade 6 homeroom advisers, Social Action Head and staff. A total of 145 fruit and tree seedlings were planted. It was held in the morning of March 1 and 2, 2007.
In the afternoon of these two days, the Grade 6 also went out for their reach-out either at the Don Gregorio Lluch Memorial Hospital (City Hospital) were they had interaction with the Pediatric Charity Ward patients and watchers or in the City Reformatory Center where they interacted with the juvenile delinquent inmates. These activities were part of their graduation requirements.

The Second Year level students had a reach-out to their partner community, Purok 5 Canaway-Tibanga called Sophies taboan. They sold rice, sardines, noodles, laundry soaps (powder and bar) to 100 families in the area at a lower price. The Grade School teachers also joined in the taboan by selling used clothings.

A module on voters' education with the theme "Your Vote, My Future" was conducted tothe graduating students of the grade and high school during their Social Science classes. In addition, the implementation of this module to non-graduating students was conducted in March 2, 2007, while, the teachers and staff's session is scheduled on May 8, 2007. The committee for Voters' Education is composed of the Social Science department, Social Action Office and the Student Council.

- iWalk to School Day. Sponsored by the High School Student Council through the office of the Vice President Yen Tongco, hundreds of high school and grade school students joined the iWalk to School Day and trooped to school on foot to show their love for Mother Nature. There were three assembly places where kids, teachers and staff started their trek: El Centro, Micron Diagnostic Center and Jolibee Tibanga. When the students got to school, they each donated at least 5 pesos (cost of the usual fare) for the environmental programs of the Student Council. Even though it was tiring for some, La Salle Academy was able in some way to help nature in maintaining the cleanliness of the air we breathe. View the photos by clicking HERE.

- Panalangin Dance concert was successfully staged at the La Salle Gym led by internationally awarded Mr. Douglas Nieras. The gym was at full capacity with almost 1,500 people in the audience. By bringing the Power Dance company here, the school was able to share in the celebration of the City Fiesta.

The school is co-sponsoring the staging of a Douglas Nieras dance production entitled Panalangin to be held in the school gym at 4PM on September 27, 2006 as part of the school's desire to celebrate with the Diocese the feast of its patron saint: St. Michael the Archangel. Tickets will be sold at P50 and P100. Proceeds of the show will be used for the funding of the Social Action Office outreach programs
